BLIND TASTE PREMIERES IN SWEDEN

25 Oct 2015

Global Agency's daily cooking format "Blind Taste" has been licensed by TV3 (MTG), one of the leading television channel in Sweden, after its huge success in Russia and Ukraine. The show is produced by TITAN which is also part of MTG Group.

"Blind Taste" is already being broadcasted on K1 in Ukraine, Friday TV in Russia (formerly known as MTV Russia) and on Kanalturk in Turkey, where it has tripled the ratings for its slot. The show started to broadcast on TV3 four days a week, from Monday to Thursday at 19.00. 56 episodes of "Blind Taste” are planned in total, divided into two seasons. The show has already increased the channel’s number of viewers for that slot by 70%. It will also start to air on Star TV, Greece in October 2015.

"Blind Taste" is the world’s most fair cooking format. In every episode, a celebrity chef teaches the week's four contestants how to cook a new recipe. Using exactly the same ingredients and equipment, each of the contestants has two hours to cook the recipe for themselves. When the four meals are ready, it's not the chef, but the contestants who judge the food. Wearing blindfolds, each of them must rate the four attempts at the recipe. And because they don't know whose food they're judging, honesty is key – any of the dishes could be their own! At the end of the week, the points are totalled, and the winning contestant walks away with the grand prize.

"Blind Taste" was developed by the same creator of Global Agency's other hit formats ‘Shopping Monsters’ and ‘Joker.’

Izzet Pinto, CEO of Global Agency, said "I am very happy to see the Swedish version of "Blind Taste" which has proven itself to be an instant hit in the other countries of broadcast. Audiences love it and we are happy to see it moving so quickly. I expect to see it on air in several other major territories as well.”
