“Modern Woman” tells the fun story of Pinar, caught up in a series of crazy adventures that leave her pondering choices between dating and settling down, a successful career and motherhood, a wild social life and more traditional ways. Pinar is basically trying to work through this dilemma of finding herself, just like her country.

“Modern Woman” tells the fun story of young, free and single Pinar as she forges a path between Eastern and Western lifestyles. In crazy adventures highlighting the dilemmas of women today, she faces choices between dating and settling down, a successful career and motherhood, a wild social life and more traditional ways.

Pinar is a brand executive, held back by sexism that prevents her promotion. She faces a double blow when she misses out on a job to a handsome new colleague. She is consoled by his interest in her, but hopes of romance are crushed when she discovers he is gay.

On one side she faces family pressures to marry and on the other she gets a taste of motherhood looking after her friend’s baby. She also gets swept into escapades on a business assignment with a famous actor, and even a quiet night in to make pizza ends in chaos.

Hope for romance comes in the shape of street musician Can, but her dreams are shattered by the news that he’s moving to Germany. Her dilemma comes to a head when she is offered the long-awaited promotion and she must choose between her career and leaving with Can to start a new life.
